Nestled between the Majestic Bluffs and the Mighty Mississippi
River you will find the Village of Stoddard. Stoddard is
a small town with 815 people. For being small, it has
a lot to offer.
Stoddard is a four season paradise.
In Winter, there is ice fishing, snowmobiling and skiing.
January is when Ace Hardware of La Crosse, Badger Sportsman
Club and the Stoddard Park Committee have an ice fishing
tournament. The Chaseburg Snowtrailers have Trail Days. Snowmobile trails are available to Chaseburg from Stoddard. Mt. La Crosse is 5 miles north of Stoddard for your skiing pleasure.
In Spring, the Stoddard Lioness have their Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. The Stoddard American Legion has their all you can eat Smelt Fry on Good Friday and in April, the Stoddard/Bergen Fire Department puts on an awesome Walleye Tournament. May is the Memorial Day Parade on Main Street that ends at theStoddard Village Cemetery. The Lions hold their annual Chicken Que at the Stoddard Park afterwards.
July offers Stoddard
Park Fun Days, which is sponsored by the Stoddard Park Committee.
It's a day of fun for the whole family. We have a kid's fishing
tournament, kid's games, food, refreshments and ball games.
The Fall is when the Stoddard/Bergen Fire Department hold their
Big Annual Labor Day Weekend Bash. Ball games, Chicken Que,
etc. In October, the Stoddard Lions hold the Annual
Kids Halloween Party. The kids costumes are judged by local
residents. Free hot dogs and pop are given to the children.
November is when the Stoddard United Methodist Church have
their Ham Supper at the Stoddard American Legion Hall.
It is always a super meal. The Stoddard American Legion also holds a Fall Festival.
